Every Monday: Attend a vigil hosted by Racial Justice Coalition and Keep Bellingham Families Working. A vigil will be held from 11:30a.m.-1:30p.m. in front of the Whatcom County Courthouse or from 5:00-6:00p.m. at the WTA downtown bus station. Support undocumented and immigrant families to live in safety and dignity in our community. Bring your friends and co-workers!
Tuesday, Dec. 5th at 7:00p.m.: Whatcom County Council meeting: TWO important issues will be covered: creation of a Climate Committee and the Lake Whatcom Service Area. County Courthouse, Council Chambers, 311 Grand Ave., Bellingham, WA 98225.
Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 at 11:00a.m. and 6:00p.m.: Protest for net neutrality at two Verizon stores. The new chairman of the FCC was a top lawyer at Verizon. Now he’s calling for a vote to kill net neutrality. We’re protesting at retail stores across the U.S. to demand that Congress stop Verizon’s FCC from destroying the Internet as we know it. The first protest will be held at 11:00a.m. at the Bellis Fair Mall location, 1 Bellis Fair Pkwy., Bellingham, WA 98226 and the second will be held at 6:00p.m. at the Sunset location, 1200 East Sunset Drive, Bellingham, WA 98226.
