Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018 from noon – 1:30 p.m. (PST): Webinar “Centering Intersectional Feminism for the Win!”, hosted by Showing up for Racial Justice (SURJ).  Facebook event.  Webinar registration.

Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018 from 6:00-8:00p.m.: Rapid Response Training for Deportation Defense at Community To Community (C2C), 203 W. Holly St., Suite 311, Bellingham, WA 98225. This is a general interest meeting and know-your-rights training for people interested in rapid response to deportations and other anti-immigrant state violence in and around Whatcom County. (Note: the meeting is currently scheduled for the Social Forum space at C2C, but the location may change depending on the number of expected attendees.) Every Monday: Attend a vigil hosted by Racial Justice Coalition and Keep Bellingham Families Working. A vigil will be held from 11:30a.m.-1:30p.m. in front of the Whatcom County Courthouse . Support undocumented and immigrant families to live in safety and dignity in our community. Bring your friends and co-workers!

Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 from 6:00-8:00p.m.: Letter-Writing Night at The Whatcom Peace & Justice Center, 1220 Bay St., Bellingham, WA 98225. Gather with other people for an evening to write a letter to the editor or one of your legislators about current events, to promote peace and justice. The suggested theme for the evening is: “Intolerance at home lays the groundwork for war abroad.” Some computers will be available, but please bring a laptop if you have one.
